ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY GEARED UP FOR 65TH SEASON

Schererville, IN – The Illiana Motor will come alive to the roar of engines once again in 2012 on Sat Nite April 21st, which will mark the 65th season of stock car racing, and will mark the fifth year as an ASA sanctioned Member track.
 
The first event on the 2012 schedule calls for a Special Test & Tune practice sessions on Sat Afternoon April 7th & April 14th from 12pm-8pm. Competitors will have two opportunities  to get their cars “dialed in” before the start of the 2012 Season. Driver registration, Pit pad assignments will also be available. Race Fans are welcome, bring the camera, check out the new colors and paint schemes, Grandstand admission is free.
 
Race Fans will not want to miss any of the high-speed action. An exciting schedule of special events have been put in place for 2012, including many of the traditional dates and a few new ones. The CRA / JEGS Allstar Tour  makes its second visit on Sat Nite May 19th, Round #1 Chi-Town Street Stock Spectacular on the ½ mi on June 2nd, The 11th annual Musgrave Memorial  featuring a “NEW” Twin 56 lap format on Sat. Nite June 16th.  The Hoss Outlaw Sprints “Speed you can feel” will again be part of the 12th annual Racefest on Sat nite Aug 4, The Stockcar season concludes with The 51st Annual Tony Bettenhausen 100 on Sat nite Sept. 15th Fans will have only one opportunity to witness the ever popular Crash fest in 2012 on Sat nite Sept 29th.   
 
Stockcar racing every Saturday night
The gates open Saturday at 4:00 p.m., with time trials set for 5:30 p.m. and the first race getting the green flag at 7:00 p.m. Five Division feature races will highlight the program Including Schepel Buick GMC Super Late Model, VanSenus Auto Parts Turbo Street Stocks, INEX Legends, Make It Straight Pure Stocks and Bandoleros

The track is located at 7211 Lincoln Hwy on U.S. Highway 30, about 2 miles east of U.S. Highway 41 or five miles west of Interstate 65.
